How to arrive

Artis Royal Zoo is conveniently located in the heart of Amsterdam, making it easily accessible by various modes of transportation:

By Tram: Tram 14 (Amsterdam Centraal – Flevopark) stops directly at the ARTIS main entrance. Trams 7 (Slotermeer – Azartplein) and 19 (Station Sloterdijk – Diemen Sniep) also stop at Alexanderplein, a ten-minute walk from ARTIS.

By Metro: The closest metro station is Waterlooplein. Metros 51, 53, and 54 run from Amsterdam Centraal to Waterlooplein. From there, it’s just a ten-minute walk to ARTIS.

By Bus: Buses 22 and 43 run from Amsterdam Centraal to Kadijksplein. From Kadijksplein, it’s a quick six-minute walk to ARTIS.

By Car: ARTIS has its parking facility at Plantage Kerklaan 40, just 150 meters from the main entrance. Visitors can enjoy discounted parking rates, and there are parking spaces for disabled individuals. Additionally, there are six electric car charging spots available.
